Robin Lord Taylor

Robin Lord Taylor (Accepted, "The Walking Dead") joins the cast as Oswald Cobblepot (aka The Penguin). His character is described as follows: With the brains of a chess grandmaster and the morals of a jackal, Oswald Cobblepot is a low-level psychopath (for gangster Fish Mooney) who hides his sadistic lust for power behind an exquisitely polite demeanor.

Without further ado — and with just one week to go until Season 2 resumes next Wednesday at 8/7c — I present (some of) the responses I procured from cast members Stephen Amell, David Ramsey, Susanna Thompson, Colton Haynes and Caity Lotz, plus EP Marc Guggenheim (who was on hand to celebrate the show’s early Season 3 pick-up).

One of the great things about Skyfall (and there are many) is the phenomenal cinematography by Roger Deakins. Obviously Deakins always turns in fantastic work, but his collaboration with director Sam Mendes on the James Bond pic was jaw-droppingly gorgeous—which makes the news that Deakins won’t be returning for Bond 24 that much more disappointing. After some wavering, Mendes and Skyfall screenwriter John Logan agreed to direct and write the next Bond film, respectively, but In Contention’s Kris Tapley took to Twitter today to break the sad news that Deakins will not be back as cinematographer. Hit the jump for more.

Hannibal

It’s always nice to have dinner with friends… unless you’re on NBC’s Hannibal.

In this exclusive clip from the drama’s Season 2 premiere (which airs Friday, Feb. 28 at 10/9c), Jack is busy punishing himself for Will’s alleged mental breakdown and Dr. Lecter is serving up the same kind of creepy mindgames he always does.

I am so happy to be a fan of the fantastic show that is BBC America’s Orphan Black because its star, Tatiana Maslany seems like a legitimately awesome woman. Here she is answering questions from fans on tumblr about the series, her experience at the Golden Globes, and more.
